Beans or Peas
Ingredients
Directions
Fill the tin cans with shelled peas prepared for cooking and solder the covers on.
Place the cans in a kettle and boil for 3 hours.
Remove the cans from the water and make a hole in each can with a nail to let the air out, then solder them up again.
Boil the cans for an additional 2 hours.
To use, soak the contents in warm water for a short time, then cook and season as you would fresh peas, adding a small amount of baking soda.
