Chicken Feed

Ingredients

• 2 cups cornmeal
• 1 quart sour milk
• 1 teaspoon baking soda

Directions

The book gives no oven temperature. The 350°F (175°C) in the steps was added when the recipe was transcribed, as a starting point.

1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

2. Mix cornmeal, sour milk, and baking soda in a pan.

3. Bake until firm.

4. Once cooled, crumble the mixture and soak it in water until soft.
