Apple Dumplings

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Roll out the pastry dough and cut it into rounds using a saucer.

  2. Place apple pieces in the center of each round, adding sugar, a lump of butter, and a sprinkle of cinnamon or a few drops of lemon juice.

  3. Fold the dough over the fruit and press the edges together to seal.

  4. Place the dumplings in a pan, sprinkle with sugar and butter, and pour in enough water to create a syrup.

  5. Cook until the dumplings are done.

  6. Serve with hard butter sauce flavored with sherry or vanilla.
