How to Prepare Stock for Soups
Ingredients
Directions
Crack the bones and place them in a stock pot.
Cover the bones with cold water.
Set the pot on the back of the stove and let it simmer all day and, if possible, all night.
The next morning, strain the stock and set it in a cool place.
When the grease rises, skim it off carefully.
Turn the stock into the dish for your soup, leaving behind any sediment.
