Oyster Pie

Ingredients

Directions

The book gives no oven temperature. The 400°F (200°C) in the steps was added when the recipe was transcribed, as a starting point.

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).

  2. Line a deep dish with puff pastry.

  3. Pat in the oysters and season with bits of batter, coarse sea salt, and black pepper.

  4. Pour some oyster liquor over the oysters.

  5. Cover with the pie crust and cut a hole in the top.

  6. Bake thoroughly, sprinkling a little flour over the oysters before baking.
