Pineapple Dainty

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Cut a square of angel food cake and place it in a tall glass.

  2. Set a round of canned pineapple on top of the cake.

  3. In a saucepan, cook the juice from the canned pineapple with a little sugar and lemon juice until it thickens.

  4. Add enough maraschino cherries to tint the syrup red, or use red raspberry juice.

  5. Pour the syrup over the pineapple and cake.

  6. Top with a thick layer of whipped cream and finish with a maraschino cherry.

  7. Serve whenever ice cream is typically served.
