Plumb Pie

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Boil the plums in water to remove the skin.

  2. Fill a pie dish with the plums and sprinkle plenty of sugar over them.

  3. If you prefer an open pie, stew the plums with sugar and let them cool before filling the dish.

  4. Roll out the puff pastry and cut a strip to fit the edge of the dish.

  5. Wet the strip with water and place it around the edge of the dish.

  6. Cover the pie with the remaining pastry, pressing it down around the edges.

  7. Cut decorative slits in the top of the pastry.
