Ranks compare each pair with 20,000 random ingredient pairs on CompKitchen. How we score pairs

What each ingredient does

Peaches
Provide the fruit pectin and flavour that set the jelly once their juice is cooked down.
Loaf sugar
Sweetens the jelly and helps it set into a firm, spreadable gel as it boils.
Peach stones
Kernels add a subtle almond-like aroma to the juice during cooking.

The step that matters

Boil for 20 minutes, skimming carefully. Boiling the sugar and juice concentrates them until the mixture reaches the gel point, so the jelly sets firmly. Skimming removes foam and impurities, keeping the jelly clear.
