Fkuit Puddikgs with Soda Biscuit Dough
Ingredients
Directions
Prepare the soda biscuit dough as directed on page 102.
For shortcake, split the baked cakes and fill with mashed strawberries or other sweetened fruit.
For fruit dumplings, roll out the dough, place fruit in the center, and pinch the corners together.
Bake the dumplings in a pan with a little water until golden brown.
For a pie, fill a deep pie plate with fruit, cover with rolled-out shortcake, and bake until brown.
Once baked, sweeten the fruit, replace the crust, and serve warm.
