Potatoes
Browning adds color and savory flavor, while their starch gives the curry body as it simmers.
Powdered turmeric
Gives the curry its yellow color and a warm, earthy flavor.
Cumin
Adds warm, earthy aroma that deepens the flavor of the curry.
