Banana Pudding

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Cut the sponge cake into slices.

  2. In a glass dish, layer the cake and sliced bananas alternately.

  3. Make a soft custard by heating milk and sugar, then flavor with a little wine and pour over the layers.

  4. Beat the egg whites to a stiff froth and heap over the entire dish.

  5. Prepare peaches by cutting them up, leaving them in sugar for a few hours, then scalding them.

  6. Add the cooled peaches to the thick boiled custard, making it rather sweet.
