Oyster Patties

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Prepare rich puff pastry and bake it in very small patty pans until golden.

  2. Once cool, turn the pastry shells out onto a large dish.

  3. Stew the oysters with cloves, mace, and nutmeg until cooked.

  4. Add the grated hard-boiled egg, butter, and enough oyster liquor to cover the mixture.

  5. Remove the oysters from the pan and let them cool.

  6. When completely cold, place two or three oysters in each pastry shell.
