Boiled Parsnips

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Scrape young parsnips before cooking. For older parsnips, carefully pare and split if large.

  2. Put parsnips into boiling salted water.

  3. Boil small and tender parsnips for 30 to 45 minutes. Boil full-grown parsnips for over an hour.

  4. When tender, drain and slice lengthwise.

  5. Butter the parsnips well and serve very hot.
