Creamed Potatoes

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Cut cold potatoes into irregular pieces.

  2. Prepare cream by melting a large amount of butter in milk until smooth.

  3. Bring the cream to a boil, add the potatoes, and stir until heated through.

  4. Alternatively, melt butter in milk, add potatoes, and cook slowly for 20 to 30 minutes until milk is absorbed.

  5. Add salt shortly before serving.

  6. For baking, heat milk, butter, salt, and a little flour with the potatoes, then place in a buttered dish and bake for 20 to 30 minutes.
