Salt Cod

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Soak the salt cod in milk and water, or just water, for several hours, or up to a whole day if very dry and salty.

  2. Place the soaked fish in a fish kettle with plenty of cold water.

  3. Heat the kettle on the stove; when nearly boiling, skim the surface.

  4. Let the fish simmer gently until cooked through.

  5. Serve with egg sauce and garnish with parsneps or potatoes.
