Beef Roots

Ingredients

Directions

The book gives no oven temperature. The 400°F (200°C) in the steps was added when the recipe was transcribed, as a starting point.

  1. Cut beet root into equal-sized slices, boiled or baked.

  2. Heat the slices between two plates in a 400°F (200°C) oven.

  3. Arrange the hot beet slices on a plate like cutlets.

  4. Prepare a piquant sauce.

  5. Boil button onions until white and tender.

  6. Place the onions in the center of the dish and pour the sauce over them.
