To Cook Cold Meats

Ingredients

Directions

The book gives no oven temperature. The 400°F (200°C) in the steps was added when the recipe was transcribed, as a starting point.

  1. Chop the cold meat finely in a bowl.

  2. Season with coarse sea salt, black pepper, and either onion or tomato ketchup.

  3. Fill a tin bread pan two-thirds full with the meat mixture.

  4. Top with salted mashed potatoes mixed with milk.

  5. Dot with bits of butter and bake in a 400°F (200°C) oven for 15-20 minutes.
