Ranks compare each pair with 20,000 random ingredient pairs on CompKitchen. How we score pairs

What each ingredient does

Rice
Softens in sweet milk and sets into a firm, creamy base as it cools.
Sweet milk
Cooks the rice into a soft, creamy texture and adds richness.
Cream
Whipped until stiff to form a light, fatty topping over the rice.
Sugar
Sweetens the rice as it cooks in the milk.

The step that matters

Beat the cream until stiff. Cream under-whipped stays runny and slides off the rice, while over-whipping can turn it grainy and cause it to separate. Stop when it holds firm peaks.
