Ranks compare each pair with 20,000 random ingredient pairs on CompKitchen. How we score pairs

What each ingredient does

Heavy cream
Whipped to a light foam that gives the dessert its airy, creamy body.
Gelatine
Sets the mixture as it cools so it holds its shape when unmolded.
Eggs
Beaten to enrich the mixture and add body and richness.
Powdered sugar
Sweetens the mixture and dissolves smoothly into the beaten eggs.
Brandy
Adds aroma and flavour to the dessert.

The step that matters

Pour the mixture into the whipped cream while continuously whipping. Keeping the cream whipping while adding the gelatine mixture helps distribute it evenly and prevents it from setting in streaks or lumps before the cream is fully combined.
