Make the syrup

  1. Make a syrup by combining sugar and water in a pot.

Prepare the peaches

  1. Select large, ripe peaches.

  2. Peel the peaches.

  3. Cut the peaches in half.

  4. Remove the stones from most peaches, leaving one stone for flavor.

Cook and seal

  1. Drop the peaches into the syrup.

  2. Boil for 10 minutes.

  3. Seal the jars while hot.
