Potatoes Baked in Milk

Ingredients

Directions

The book gives no oven temperature. The 300°F (150°C) in the steps was added when the recipe was transcribed, as a starting point.

  1. Preheat the oven to 300°F (150°C).

  2. Cut thin slices of raw potatoes and place them in a baking pan.

  3. Add chopped green onion, season with coarse sea salt and black pepper, and add a piece of butter.

  4. Pour in enough milk to cover the potatoes.

  5. Bake slowly until the milk thickens to the consistency of cream and the top is browned.
