What each ingredient does

Peaches
Provide the fruit flesh and flavor that the syrup surrounds.
Sugar
Sweetens the fruit and helps the syrup preserve texture and moisture.

The step that matters

Seal the jars airtight. An airtight seal keeps air and microbes out of the jar during storage, so the peaches stay safe and keep their quality.
