Boiling Puddings

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Dip the clean cloth in hot water and dredge it with flour.

  2. Tie the cloth loosely for bread pudding and tightly for batter pudding.

  3. Mix flour with milk until smooth, then gradually stir in other ingredients.

  4. Strain the beaten eggs before adding them to the mixture.

  5. Ensure the water is boiling before adding the pudding and keep it covered with water.

  6. Move the pudding around in the pot to prevent sticking.

  7. Dip the pudding in cold water immediately after removing it from the pot.

  8. Butter the inside of the dish or basin before adding the pudding.
