An Economical Paste for Covering Meat Pies
Ingredients
Directions
Rub the dripping into the flour, salt, and baking powder with your fingertips until well combined.
Add enough cold water to form a thick paste.
Knead the paste quickly on a lightly floured surface.
Roll it out to about ½ inch thick with a rolling pin.
Wet the edges of the dish and place strips of paste around the edges as a foundation for the cover.
