Apple-pie

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Wipe, peel, core, and slice the apples.

  2. Lay a strip of puff pastry around the edge of the pie dish.

  3. Add a layer of sliced apples, then sprinkle with sugar and seasonings.

  4. Repeat layering until the dish is heaped, keeping the fruit highest in the middle.

  5. Cover with puff pastry and decorate the top with leaves or flowers.

  6. If apples are dry, boil the parings and cores with a stick of cinnamon, strain, and add the liquid to the pie.
