How to Can Tomatoes
Ingredients
Directions
Boil the ripe tomatoes until soft.
Push down the top tomatoes to scald all of them.
Fill the can with the tomatoes.
Use a silver spoon to release air bubbles by moving it through the hot mass.
Ensure all bubbles are released, then add more juice if needed to fill the can almost to the brim.
Wipe off any moisture, place a dry rubber on top, and screw down the cover.
After cooling, twist the covers again and turn each jar upside down to check for bubbles.
