  1. In a saucepan, bring 1 pint of water to a boil.

  2. Add the strawberry preparation and lemon juice, then let the mixture cool.

  3. Stir in the egg whites and whisk until frothy.

  4. Strain the mixture through a jelly bag or cloth until clear.

  5. When cold and just about to set, pour into a prepared mold.

  6. Place in the refrigerator or a cool place until firm, about 1.5 hours.
