Dumplings and Puddings
Ingredients
Directions
Lay the slices of paste on a flat surface.
Place your choice of stoned cherries, dried fruits, or berries on the paste.
Roll up the paste tightly and tuck in the ends.
Prick the rolled dumpling deeply with a fork.
Steam the dumpling in a steamer for 1 hour and 45 minutes.
Alternatively, wrap the dumpling in a well-floured pudding cloth, tie the ends, and baste the sides.
Plunge the wrapped dumpling into boiling water and boil for 1.5 hours or longer.
