Directions

Weigh equal amounts of lemons, currants, raisins, minced suet, and brown sugar.
Cut lemons in half, squeeze and strain the juice.
Boil lemon skins in cold water until tender, then drain and pound them.
Grate nutmeg and finely chop citron.
Mix all ingredients thoroughly, adding lemon juice last.
Pack mixture into small jars, cover with paper dipped in spirits, and tie securely.
To make pies, dust pans with flour, line with puff pastry, and fill with mince meat.
Wet edges of pastry, place top layer, and trim edges neatly.
