Ingredients

Directions

The book gives no oven temperature. The 350°F (175°C) in the steps was added when the recipe was transcribed, as a starting point.

  1. Stir the mince-meat from the bottom of the pan before removing it.

  2. Mix in the brandy.

  3. Line patty pans with puff-paste, making the edges ¼ inch thick and the bottom half that thickness.

  4. Fill the pans with mince-meat and cover with puff-paste ¼ inch thick.

  5. Trim the edges at a slant and make a hole in the center of each pie.

  6. Bake in a 350°F (175°C) oven until golden.

  7. Remove from tins and serve hot.
