Ingredients
Directions
Dissolve lard or butter in boiling water.
Mix in flour with a spoon until a smooth, firm paste forms.
Mould a lump of paste into a sugar loaf shape and place it upright on the table.
Flatten the sides with your palms until smooth and even.
Squeeze the middle down to half the height and hollow out the inside with your fingers.
Fill the hollow with your choice of meat, poultry, or game.
Roll out a cover from the remaining paste, egg the edges, and press them securely together.
Make a hole in the center, lay a roll of paste around it, and decorate as desired.
