Clarified Dripping
Ingredients
Directions
Remove impurities from the dripping with a knife.
Add fresh water and more coarse sea salt to the dripping in a pot.
Boil the dripping for a second time, then let it cool and remove impurities again.
Taste the dripping; if it has any flavor, boil it a third time. If it is sweet, the third boiling is unnecessary.
Place the dripping in a jar and set the jar in a saucepan of boiling water until melted.
Let it cool again before using.
