Brussels Sprouts

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Inspect each Brussels sprout, cutting the stems evenly and removing any decayed outer leaves.

  2. Soak the sprouts in cold, salted water for 1 hour, rinsing several times.

  3. Drain the sprouts in a colander.

  4. Bring a large pot of water to a boil and salt it as you would for cabbage.

  5. Add the sprouts gradually to the boiling water to maintain the temperature.

  6. Boil uncovered for 12 to 20 minutes, depending on size, until tender.

  7. Drain thoroughly and serve immediately.
