Ingredients

Directions

  1. Prepare small casks, like oyster barrels.

  2. Fill the casks with fresh laid eggs.

  3. Pour cold thick lime water into each cask to fill all void spaces and cover the eggs.

  4. Lightly place the head of the cask back on.

  5. Occasionally add a little common water to prevent the lime from hardening.

  6. Keep the casks away from heat and frost.

  7. When using the eggs, wash them with cold water to remove adhering lime.
