  1. In a jar, combine suet, raisins, currants, citron, sugar, lemon rind and juice, orange juice, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, mace, brandy, wine, and salt. Pack tightly and stir well before using.

  2. For the pie, mix 2/3 apples and 1/3 meat. Add enough cider to make it juicy and enough sugar to make it sweet.
