Custard Pie

Ingredients

Directions

The book gives no oven temperature. The 400°F (200°C) in the steps was added when the recipe was transcribed, as a starting point.

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).

  2. Line a pie plate with pastry.

  3. In a bowl, beat the eggs lightly with sugar.

  4. Add salt and corn starch mixed with a little milk, then stir in the remaining milk.

  5. Pour the mixture into the crust, filling it to the top.

  6. Grate nutmeg on top before baking.
