Ingredients

Directions

  1. Make a thick syrup with sugar and pour it over the plums. Cover well and let it stand overnight.

  2. In the morning, drain off the syrup, boil it, and skim for 5 to 10 minutes.

  3. Drop the plums into the syrup and place them in a fireless cooker with a warm stone that can almost be handled.

  4. Let them sit for 1 to 2 hours. If the syrup is not thick enough, drain and boil it again.

  5. Alternatively, you can set the plums in a slow oven instead of using a fireless cooker.

  6. Add a little lemon and orange juice to the syrup.
