What each ingredient does

Cauliflower
Forms the whole dish; boiling softens its dense florets until tender.

The step that matters

Removing the cooked cauliflower. Once boiled, cauliflower becomes soft and fragile, and its florets can break apart. Lifting it out gently, ideally with the head supported, keeps it intact for serving.
