A Baked Apple Pudding

Ingredients

Directions

  1. In a stewpan, combine the chopped apples, moist sugar, currants, raisins, chopped almonds, lemon and orange peel, cinnamon, and ground cloves.

  2. Cook until the apples are soft.

  3. In a bowl, mix the chopped suet, flour, and salt. Add a little cold water to form a paste.

  4. Roll out the dough on a floured surface three times, then divide it into four pieces.

  5. Grease a pudding basin and sprinkle a little brown sugar and cinnamon at the bottom.

  6. Place one piece of rolled dough at the bottom of the basin, add a layer of the stewed fruit, and repeat the layers until all ingredients are used.
