Pork Pie
Ingredients
Directions
On a clean surface, make a mound with the flour and create a well in the center.
Add the warmed suet and lard into the well, then pour in the hot water.
Mix with a wooden spoon until it forms a smooth, firm paste.
Roll out the paste and cut out two rounds and a strip to encircle the round.
Use egg yolk to stick one round and the strip together, then pack with meat.
Cover with the second round, pinching the edges to seal.
Alternatively, shape the paste around a bottle or jar, pack with meat, cover, and bake.
