Oyster Pie

Ingredients

Directions

The book gives no oven temperature. The 400°F (200°C) in the steps was added when the recipe was transcribed, as a starting point.

  1. Line a pudding dish with puff pastry.

  2. Cover with a plate the same size as the dish and place the upper crust on this plate.

  3. Bake in a 400°F (200°C) oven.

  4. Prepare the filling by stewing oysters with additional cracker crumbs.

  5. Fill the crust with the oyster mixture.

  6. Place the baked upper crust on top of the pie and return to the oven for five minutes.

  7. Serve immediately.
