Ingredients

Directions

The book gives no oven temperature. The 350°F (175°C) in the steps was added when the recipe was transcribed, as a starting point.

  1. Wash the onions but do not peel them.

  2. Boil the onions in salted water for 1 hour, changing the water twice.

  3. Once tender, place the onions in a baking pan.

  4. Bake the onions at 350°F (175°C) for 1.5 hours.

  5. Serve with melted butter.
