Ranks compare each pair with 20,000 random ingredient pairs on CompKitchen. How we score pairs

What each ingredient does

Peaches
Provide the main fruit flavor and moisture for the mousse.
Cream
Adds richness and a light, airy body once whipped.
Whites of eggs
Whipped into foam to give the mousse its light, airy structure.
Sugar
Sweetens the mousse and helps stabilize the whipped egg whites.

The step that matters

Gently fold the egg whites into the peach mixture. Whipped egg white foam holds the air that makes the mousse light. Stirring vigorously knocks out that air, leaving a dense, heavy result.
