Fried Oysters

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Wash and drain the oysters, then sprinkle with coarse sea salt and black pepper. Let them stand for about 20 minutes.

  2. Coat the oysters in seasoned breadcrumbs, then dip them in a mixture of beaten egg and milk.

  3. Roll the oysters in breadcrumbs again and fry them in hot plant-based oil.

  4. Use plenty of oil in the pan and fry only 5 or 6 oysters at a time until golden brown.

  5. Lift the basket and drain the oysters on brown paper. Serve immediately.

  6. If frying a large batch, keep fried oysters warm in a pan at the oven door.
