Ingredients

Directions

The book gives no oven temperature. The 400°F (200°C) in the steps was added when the recipe was transcribed, as a starting point.

Assemble

  1. Shape the bread slices to cover the bottom and sides of a mold.

  2. Moisten the bread pieces in melted butter and arrange them in the mold.

  3. Fill the mold with cold apple marmalade.

  4. Cover with additional slices of bread.

Bake and serve

  1. Bake in a 400°F (200°C) oven for 25 minutes.

  2. Serve hot, carefully turning it out onto a dish.
