Ingredients

Directions

  1. Season the mashed potatoes with coarse sea salt and black pepper.

  2. Heat the potatoes over low heat, adding a little milk until moist enough to spread.

  3. Cut meat into rounds about 1 to 2 inches in diameter.

  4. Cover both sides of the meat rounds with the seasoned potato, smoothing it with a hot, wet knife.

  5. Dip the rounds in frying batter or coat with egg and breadcrumbs.

  6. Fry in hot fat until golden brown, using a deep pan or a frying pan with a good layer of fat.
