Ranks compare each pair with 20,000 random ingredient pairs on CompKitchen. How we score pairs

What each ingredient does

Peanuts
Ground peanuts thicken the milk and give the soup its body and nutty flavor.
Rich milk
Forms the liquid base that the ground peanuts are cooked into.
Heavy cream
Adds richness and a smooth, silky mouthfeel when stirred in at the end.

The step that matters

Adding the heavy cream just before serving. Cream held at a hot simmer for long can separate or turn grainy, so stirring it in at the end keeps the soup smooth and rich.
