Ranks compare each pair with 20,000 random ingredient pairs on CompKitchen. How we score pairs

What each ingredient does

Milk
Forms the liquid base and gives the soup its body and creamy richness.
Peanuts
Ground fine, they thicken the milk and add nutty flavor and body.
Heavy cream
Adds fat for a smooth, rich mouthfeel and a silkier finish.

The step that matters

Stir in the heavy cream just before serving. Cream added at the end keeps its fresh richness and smooth texture. Prolonged heating can dull its flavor and may cause the fat to separate, leaving the soup greasy or grainy.
