Apple Butter with Cider

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Boil fresh cider down to about one-third of its original quantity.

  2. Prepare cooking apples by peeling, coring, and cutting them into pieces.

  3. Add the apple pieces to the boiled cider and cook until they begin to sink.

  4. Stir constantly to prevent sticking and cook until reduced to a thick pulp.

  5. A few minutes before finishing, add a little ground allspice and cinnamon.
