Ingredients

Directions

The book gives no oven temperature. The 400°F (200°C) in the steps was added when the recipe was transcribed, as a starting point.

  1. Make a nice short biscuit crust.

  2. Put the oysters and their liquor into a bowl.

  3. Season with butter, coarse sea salt, and pepper.

  4. Add water if there isn't enough liquor.

  5. Cover with a top crust, leaving no bottom crust.

  6. Bake at 400°F (200°C) and serve hot.
